Today we went on "Unsigned.com" to look for possible songs that we could use for our music video. This is one artist we found that we quite liked;

Finding the right music;

I am looking on websites such as; 'unsigned.com' 'myspace.com' to find music that I can use to create my music video. The music must be from an unsigned artist so we can avoid copyright issues.

Process of Creating a Music Video

1. The Commission sends a track to 5-10 Directors
2. Director submits a Treatment (this is unpaid)
3. Director who has submitted the 'best' ideas is selected by the commissioner to make the video

-However the amount of youtube hits could also indicate a really bad music video and song;

My favourite Music Video

Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect
Jessie J is an English singer-songwriter. Genre - pop, R&B, soul.


This is my favourite music video because I think it is different and eye catching. There are a lot of different scenes within the video that portray the emotions and feelings of the song. By watching the video you can tell that she is mad and frustrated with herself, and the song is about how she's made a mistake but nobody is perfect and she wants them to forgive her.

The Brief

My project is to create a music 'promo' video that will be up to five minutes long and I will be working within a group to produce this. I will also have to produce a 'digipak' for the release on CD, and a magazine advertisement for the digipak.
In addition to this i will also have to produce a critical evaluation.
